- Caulfield Grammar School Teaching Art, Visual Communication and Design to years 7 -12 (1990 -2001).
- Brighton Grammar School Teaching Woodwork and Graphics to years 7 -10 (1986 -1989).
- Melbourne School of Woodwork Teaching Woodturning to Adults (1988).
- Council of Adult Education Teaching Woodturning (1987).
- Established an independent woodworking studio and started woodturning and other wood related activities outside teaching hours (1986).
- Completed 4 weeks ‘professional experience’ work in the studios of Vic Wood (East Burwood, Victoria) and Richard Raffan (Mittagong, NSW), both professional wood turners (1985).
- Completed a B. Ed. (Art & Craft) at Melbourne College of Advanced Education (now University of Melbourne) majoring in Woodwork (1982 -1985).
